EDUCATE EVERYWHERE

Dear Pomeroy Panthers,

The Pomeroy staff is committed to supporting you through this unprecedented statewide Executive Order to Shelter in Place and as we continue with distance learning via Educate Everywhere. We know this is an extremely challenging time for everyone and we are working to put things in place to make sure our students continue to learn. We thank you for your flexibility as we are all learning how to create meaningful distance learning opportunities and these plans will evolve as we continue to understand the best way to maintain an engaging learning model while taking into consideration the varying needs of our families. It is very important that we stay connected to each other even though we need to stay at home!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Klein

Pomeroy Virtual Friday Club

Virtual Friday Club

Time and Place: TBD

Pomeroy Virtual Friday Club (<--- Code links here on Friday mornings)

Virtual Friday Club Expectations:

  1. PERSEVERANCE: Students will use each Google Meet code only during the Virtual Friday Club hour each Friday.

  2. RESPECT: Students will choose one activity each week and remain in that Google Meet until the activity is over. Students cannot jump from one activity to the next during the hour.

  3. INTEGRITY: Students should come to their Friday Club activity with the materials needed. Be prepared. :)

  4. DECISION-MAKING: The activities will remain the same from week to week, so if students do not get their first choice this week, they can always try again the following week. Students will be selecting their activities with their teachers during a classroom meeting.

  5. EXCELLENCE: Try something new! Virtual Friday Club is a great opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and try a new skill.
