Student Council

Purpose and Goals:

To give students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills
To organize school events that benefit the Pomeroy and Milpitas communities
To provide a safe space for students of all ages and backgrounds to collaborate on issues they care about

Student Opportunities:

Student Council Positions include

President (6th grade)
Vice President (5th or 6th grade)
Secretary (4th, 5th, or 6th grade)
Treasurer (4th, 5th, or 6th grade)
Student Ambassadors (4th, 5th, and 6th grade)
Class Representatives (two per intermediate classroom)

Student Council Duties:

Create posters & speech to participate in the election process
Attend weekly meetings
Participate in Student Council activities & events
Keep school community informed on upcoming events
